Intermodal

The intermodal respectively the combined transport on road/ rail/ waterway is one of the core competences of LUB Consulting GmbH. One focus is on intermodal terminals. For example, LUB carried out the project management for the intermodal terminal for the GVZ Dresden. Our company was involved in this terminal project from the early location and traffic analysis, over application for a government grant and tender for operation until the completion in December 2005. LUB is also involved in the planning of intermodal transport relations.

Beside this, the LUB is active for other terminal locations on national and European level as follows:

• Application for funding programs for terminal infrastructure
• Application for funding programs for start up grants for new intermodal transport services (e.g. Marco Polo)
• Identification and analysis of transport amount for new intermodal transport chains
• Feasibility studies for new intermodal transport chains
• Preparation and implementation of consulting and research projects for intermodal transports services
